All these "old" developers that made great games back in the days when I was at the end of my teens & playing 16bit machines like genesis/MD & SNES, are all butt hurt due to there failure to adapt like other better developers.
The reason these guys were the best in the 1st place is because of the lack of western competition....most of the excellent games & pretty much all the great console games came from either 1st parties, or Japanese 3rd party dev...

R3 deserves to sell really well. The campaign is awesome fun, the 3d is utilized to great effect, & the multiplayer is great, as were both previous games.
I didn't find it all that bad...but I guess unlike you Ares, I had never really heard anything about the game.
But, I thought the game opened up nicely with the whole hiding behind the heavy, on wheel cover, push up, duck behind when arrows fired & such, & it felt like it was going to be quite diverse & not just straight forward hack'n'slash at 1st. But once it did actually throw you into the combat, it was fun for about 5mins, but then I was wonder...

Actually, seeing I'm more a rugby league fan. lets have Swordfish make a league game, as they've already gone down in history as makers of the best union game ever.

The only reason it would be questionable is if it is expected (as I suspect) for another first person shooter to win game of the year.
I mean, if Battlefield 3 or MW3 wins game of the year, then that is highly questionable, as we all know the COD series is awesome, but after 5 or 6 iterations of the exact same game with different settings is definately not goty worthy material, & after playing the BF3 beta & being dissapointed at how averagely, samely it was to BF...
Sorry but it PS3 gamers just have a different taste in games to 360 gamers in general. The PS brand just has a more varying catalogue of top tier games, so PS owners aren't as invested in a select few genres like shooters, racers & sport games.
